blueberry banana bread

Yesterday I noticed I had 4 bananas that I needed to use & the first thing that came to my mind was blueberry banana bread. I had pinned it a while back & hadn't got to make it yet. I brought up the recipe and it looked perfect, and it is. This recipe comes from Mom On Timeout & you can find it here. My bread took 1 hour and 20 minutes @ 325 & my oven seems to get hotter then the average so you may need longer then the recipe calls for, just check it & you'll be good to go :).

The only thing I did differently was I used 1/4 cup whole wheat flour and 1 cup of all purpose, she used 1/2  cup of the whole wheat flour and I'm sure you could do that and not notice because you couldn't tell one bit with my 1/4 cup that there was any whole wheat flour in the mix. One Thing I did was add was a Struesel topping.. yum this bread is so good! I make blueberry buckle often & it is a favorite of everyone who has tried it. I always make a struesel topping for that so I thought why not add it on this bread? I actually used to (before I had colten) cook meals for the guys that my husband works with. They would give me $20 a week & I would make lots of main dishes & desserts. The only thing I don't miss about being able to cook lots of food for everyone is the dishes.. goodness those dishes + our dishes was like dishes overload! lol  As long as I have fresh blueberries to use my banana bread will always include them! Have a wonderful week & I hope you enjoy! :)

Struesel Topping

2 TBS. butter
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

S'more Bars

I wish I could say I came up with this idea on my own but I didn't. I came across this recipe on pinterest & it's now a favorite treat to make to have around the house & to take to cookouts. This recipe is so simple, I change the amounts of what is used in the original recipe to make them more gooey & delicious. I got the wonderful recipe here by Chef in Training she has so many wonderful recipes, I just love her blog :).

Recipe

1/4 cup of butter
1 bag of marshmallows (I usually get one that is just over 10 oz)
1/2 box of golden grahams
1 cup of chocolate chips + a few more for garnish

Melt your butter in a pan & melt in your marshmallows, once they are melted turn off heat & mix in golden grahams & 1 cup of chocolate chips. Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan & spread out then sprinkle with chocolate chips & enjoy! The original recipe calls for 1 full box of golden grahams which is the one big difference that I use 1/2 it makes the bars more gooey & you get more melted marshmallow, I also do this with my rice krispee treats and get compliments on them all the time. It really makes a big difference. Hope you enjoy this recipe!

DIY Sunglasses & Mustache T-Shirt

When I was in Joann's yesterday I saw a little pamphlet with a mustache template on it for a little boys onesie & I just knew I had to make my little man one on a shirt. The more I thought about it I remembered a shirt I had found in ae kids that had sunglasses & a mustache on it that I loved but it was $20! This one only cost me $5. So I went online in search of a template and found one here . You can even just right click on my picture if you like & paste into word. So this is really easy you print out your template trace it on to whatever fabric you want to use. Apply some heat and bond to the back of your sunglasses and mustache & iron on & then hand sew. Also it's a good idea to use fray check for your edges esp. if you have fabric that frays easily like mine, I just didn't have any on hand as I made this late as night so that's why my edges are frayed. Hope you enjoy! :)

I have the pins on to help ensure it stays in place.

Love my little cutie pie model <3 Hope you enjoyed!
Have a wonderful week :)
