Update

So this has been quite the week for me & really quite the past couple of months. I've found the saying "when it rains it pours" to be very true & very telling of how life has been going the past couple of months for my family & I. I do however also believe there is always a rainbow after the rain so I'm waiting for our rainbow :). Over the weekend after my son had his vaccines he started to get sicker & sicker. So on Monday we took him to the doctor & she told us that he had a virus and we were doing everything right, trying to keep him as hydrated as possible & that there is no medicine we could give him to help at all. We went home hoping that the virus would start to go away soon & we wouldn't have anymore trouble, well that night he took a dramatic turn for the worse. He's just over a year old & he was throwing up non stop. He threw up 7 times in about a half an hour & he was so exhausted he couldn't even hold his head up, he was going in and out of sleep and was so pale. So we took him into the ER & sure enough was very dehydrated. They ran test, took x-rays, blood samples, urine samples & everything came back good, it just showed he was dehydrated. They hooked an iv up to him which was quite the ordeal. The nurse couldn't find the vain I swear we stood there for 2 hours before he finally got it right, & he wasn't even the one to do it, the doctor ended up coming in and doing it for him. They started him on fluids and he was sound asleep, just so exhausted. Long story short they admitted us to a room where we spent monday & tuesday night. Finally on the 4th at about 12:30 the doctor let us go home. He's doing better but still sick, we are just praying he doesn't make another bad turn that would end us up in the hospital again. On top of all of this with him Chris & I both got sick in the process. So we are exhausted & sick with no family around. It stinks but I am thankful to have Heather here that helped us out with the dogs a couple of times. It is just so rough not having family close, I pray we can be closer soon. Anyways I'm writing this to let you know I will not be blogging much if at all until my son & my husband and I are all feeling a lot better. I hope you all understand, I love blogging & I will be anxious to get back to it. But my family is just way more important. I will try to have the link party up but if I don't you'll know why. I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July! If you haven't entered my GIVEAWAY yet there is still time! the winner will be chosen on July 10th :)

Praying for you, your hubby and sweet baby. It breaks my heart to read when little ones are in the hospital. My oldest had an immune disorder when we was a year old until about 3 1/2 so we spent a little time on the oncology wing at our local children's hospital so I know how it feels to have a little one who is sick and in the hospital. Isn't it the worst when they can't get the iv going and you get so tired of the nurse sticking your sweet baby!!! Praying for rest and healing!!!

Sending hugs and prayers for you and your family. Get some rest and just take care of your family.
