I've been wanting to make a spring banner for a while but just wasn't sure exactly how I wanted to make it. Yesterday I got some scrapbook paper on sale at Joann's that would be perfect for a spring banner! When I got home I started thinking about what shapes I wanted to cut out and decided on flowers & birds.
What you need
- scrapbook paper
-scissors
-patterns (I will provide links)
- Glue
-Pen
-Hole punch & String

| First you want to print & cut out your flower pattern you can find the one I used here Just click on Scrapbook flower template and copy image and paste into word. I made the picture bigger until all i had was one complete flower. |
Trace your flower onto the back of your scrapbook paper so that once its cut out you wont have any pen marks showing. Once its traced, cut it out.
Print & cut out your bird & wing, you can find the one i used here
I made this as big as i could in word without cutting off any of the bird
Trace & cut out your pattern, I used a different paper for the wing to give some contrast, but you don't have to do that.
I know it's hard to see, but this is just showing you that you need to put glue on the back of your wing & then place it however you'd like on your bird.
Make as many flowers & birds as you like & then hold punch them all & feed string through & hang wherever you'd like!
I hope you have fun making your own, if you decide you'd like to =). This would be a great project to get your kids involved it's so simple!
