DIY Christmas Wreath

I've become addicted to pinterest. Whenever I have a few moments of free time I'm always looking for ideas. A huge search topic of mine lately has been Christmas because I want to start now so I have plenty of time to make my decorations. I love Christmas, so you will probably be getting a lot of posts with Christmas DIY tutorials. One idea I fell in love with was the ornament wreath. So I set out to make one, I had a picture in my head of what mine would look like and I ended up coming up with something a little different. I love how it turned out & I hope you do too..

What you need
Some kind of wreath base..I used foam tubing from home depot. It's about $1 a tube and you can easily get 2 wreaths out of it =).
Garland
Ornaments
Hot glue gun
Ribbon (optional)

Cut your tube to the size you want & then tape the end together.

Wrap your Garland around. Glue the first & last strip of garland.

This is what it will look like when your done wrapping.

Start gluing your ornaments on the inside of your wreath.

Then hot glue the rest of your ornaments on until you like how it looks.

Make or buy a bow and glue it on.

It's that simple, your done! Here is my finished wreath, hope you like it & thanks for stopping by! :)

DIY coat/purse hanger

I was walking around a little boutique near my house one day and got inspired. Don't you love when that happens? I know I do, see something super pricey that you know you can make for yourself way cheaper & you get to personalize it! I have to admit my husband made this for me, thanks hunny =). But I definitely could have done this myself it's easy I promise!

What you need:
A long block of wood, we used a pressure treated fence post. But whatever you like the look of best is perfect!
Fence post cap
Hooks (whatever you like, see you get to personalize it!)
Square of wood & a little trim (for the bottom)
Spray paint (optional, just another step you can take to personalize it even more)

Cut your post to size. Spray paint your fence cap if you like & you can also spray paint your bottom pieces if you like & let dry. Attach your hooks in whatever placement you like..use as many or few as you like. For the bottom you screw the square in, well that's what my husband did but to be honest i would have glued it..I like to do things the quick and easy way =). And then also glue the trim along the sides, if you like of course remember you don't have to copy mine have fun and make it your own! I just love how it turned out so I had to share! Hope you like it!

Sweet Chicken nuggets

This Chicken nugget recipe that I'm about to share taste JUST like the Chick-fil-a nuggets. So If you love those you will love these!

Sweet Chicken nuggets

1 pkg of chicken tenders
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup of heavy cream
1 egg
1 cup & 2 Tbs. flour
2 TBS. powdered sugar
Salt & pepper
Oil..peanut oil is best but I didn't have any on hand so I used vegetable oil and they tasted great!

Cut your chicken tenders into little nuggets. I found I could get 4 nuggets out of one chicken tender. Mix your milk, heavy cream, & egg together in a bowl. Then mix your flour, powdered sugar, salt & pepper in another bowl. Use a large pan to fry these in and cover the bottom with an inch or two of oil (whatever looks good to you) Heat your oil on medium heat & cook 2 minutes on each side. Drain the excess oil off on a paper towel and enjoy! I promise you will love these if you like chick-fil-a my husband is a huge fan and as soon as he put one in his mouth he said that is great! =)

DIY Glitter pumpkins

So, I love glitter. Anything that sparkles always seems to catch my eye. I decided I would do glitter pumpkins this fall for decoration around my house. They are super easy to make..

What you need for this project
newspaper or paper plates (to catch the glitter)
Glitter..lots of glitter =)
Glue ( I used elmers you could also use mod podge)
Foam paint brush

pour some glue out onto a plate or newspaper and dip your brush into it, cover your pumpkin with the glue & then sprinkle with glitter. Let dry & your good to go! My husband had a neat idea to do a striped glitter pumpkin all you do for this is paint every other stripe on your pumpkin with glue pour the glitter on and then do the rest of the stripes in a different glitter. Get creative & have fun!

Here is our finished glittered pumpkins on our dining room table.

A spoon kept my son Colten occupied while I glittered the pumpkins :)

This is Colten at the pumpkin patch where we picked our pumpkins!
